In 2004 Melynda von Wayward picked up a camera for the first time and decided to reinvent herself as a photographer in order to capture and document the contemporary Melbourne punk scene. 

What she ended up creating was a project titled Punk a Photographic Journey: 2004 - 2007 - an 80-page photographic book that captures and celebrates the colour, style and attitude of the contemporary Melbourne (Australia) punk scene.

Melynda realised that she not only loved taking photos of individuals from the punk subculture, but that she actually enjoyed taking portrait shots of other interesting and alternative men and women, as well as bands, nature, families, headshots and more....
